27 Charles Street Sheerness

John Lynch 49 rys labourer b Chatham
Elizabeth Lynch wife 49 yrs  b Rochester
John H Lynch son 13 yrs scholar b Sheerness
Edward Maxwell grandson 3 yrs b Sheerness

John is transcribed as John 'A' but it looks like 'H'

1861 RG9; Piece: 531; Folio: 159; Page: 6
46 Edward Street
John and Elizabeth with daughters:
Mary J Lynch 17 yrs dressmaker b Rochester
Elizabeth 10 yrs b Rochester St Margarets

Sarah Woodcock a widow 60 ys b Deptford.

1851 HO107; Piece: 1610; Folio: 275; Page: 33
Nags Head Lane Rochester
John, Elizabeth and the two girls

John is a boot and shoe maker

Looks to be a marriage in 1843 John Lynch/Elizabeth Watson
(certificate would give father's name)

1841 HO107; Piece 487; Book: 3; Folio: 44; Page: 17

Fair Row Chatham
John Lynch 20 yrs shoe M. born in county
Mary Lynch 50 yrs born Ireland
Bugett (likely Bridget) Lynch 60 yrs born Ireland

(further up the page there is a Patrick Lynch 27 yrs born Jamaica  :o with a wife born Barbados  :o and young children born Kent (one called Edward) ..I wonder?? but maybe not.
Chatham would be an area for ex sailors/soldiers to reside and perhaps that is the origins of the family.
Lots for Uncle Albert to think about  ;D

 :)

Hello

John Lynch, Fair row, Chatham,  Boot and Shoemaker........1841

Could John Lynch be a relative of Grandma Lynch's  (see her Topic, James Lynch Ferrigan in Ireland, Monaghan)?  Shoemakers seem to run in the family?

Cheers

Danchaslyn

Hi
I am trying to find out, my dad Owen lynch, was born before her 2nd husband (Albert) died but she then had more children which she also named lynch which I don't understand but from what I can gather everyone seems to be called Albert lynch
