Morgan Family Durham
« on: Sunday 05 April 09 19:09 BST (UK) »
Hi,
If any one has full access to the 1911 census I would be most grateful if they could check on this family please:
John Morgan born 1882, aged 29 years at census time.  He was a coal miner.  His wife was Sarah Ann and they had at least two children (probably more), John William Moses Morgan born in 1904 and Sarah Morgan born in 1907.
I would love to know where they were living and if any other children had been born,

Thank you

Sue Roberts

You can get access yourself at http://www.1911census.co.uk/ Pay per view basis only, the same as everybody else, unless you visit Kew where you can check the census for free yourself.

If you knew the birthplaces and entered them with the names into the index it might give you some idea of who is in the household at least.

PS Are you sure they weren't with a stepfather? might be a thought as to why there isn't an adult "Morgan" with JOHN WILLIAM MOSES

Made a booboo there, but it does seem strange that the names don't match who you expect to be living with the above John.  Put Morgan into the Last Name and JOHN WILLIAM MOSES into the Other Persons First Names and see what you get.

But then he's in the Lanchester District and no other Morgans seem to appear with him.
