Cecil Wray, curate of St Nicholas, Liverpool.
« on: Wednesday 08 April 09 08:37 BST (UK) »
Hoping somebody can Check (perhaps with Liverpool Records Office) if Cecil Wray was curate of St. Nicholas, Hawke Street, Cooperas Hill, Liverpool in the 1830's. His assistant curate may have been John Robinson. Trying to establish if this was the R.C. church some ancestors were married in. Apparently there is/was another Church in the area (Chapel Street?) with a similar name though I am not sure of its denonination. Trying to clarify which one is which.

Thanks

Doddie

Is this your Cecil Wray on this tree, if so it would appear that the lineage connects with William the Conqueror?

Looking at the Marriage records on the above site, he conducted marriages between 1833 and 1835, which probaly covers his tenure as Curate..
