unread messages

I went into rootschat today where it says unread messages since your last visit

It said there were no unread messages but it was nearly 24 hours since my last visit. Obviously this is not right. Can anyone explain this and how do I rectify this message.

It happens to me a lot too.  If I get an email saying that there has been a reply to something that I've posted to and enter rootschat via that link then it's ok but otherwise I get the same problem.  There was a thread about it a few weeks ago where I believe Trystan answered it - perhaps it was in the technical help section.

I have been unable to find the answer to this problem under Technical Help.

The only way I can access unread posts at the moment is to save replies to a previous posting. Entering via the home page produces nothing.

Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem.
