It seems the only one missing is Christian / Christina / Christiana who married William F Preshaw (see first posting of Heaross).

Perhaps she died pre-sailing, on voyage or otherwise was buried under her maiden name in Victoria - some Scottish people did - has anyone looked for the death of Christian (etc) Lyall in Victoria?

My goodness you've all been busy, you'rre all brilliant, I have to go out this morning, when I come home i'll sift all this through  and try and match everybody up, as i'm in Scotland  I don,t get access to a lot of the records as I have to pay for them. If I can do any researching for any of you do't hesitate to ask. Christian is proving a bit of a puzzle isn't she. Thanks again for all your help.

With the risk of my message being removed from this forum again, can I just say that George Olgilvy Preshaw published a book called "Banking under difficulties, or Life on the goldfields of Victoria, New South Wales and New Zealand" in 1888.

If you can obtain a copy of it, the small portion of it which I quoted (a few paragraphs) from a total of 179 pages, will be very interesting.
