Finally  managed  to  download Isabella PRESHAW's will

some  help  in  it.

John Allen Preshaw  is  her son.  From Jena's posting  he also  ventured on to New Zealand.

Also  mention  her Daughter Isabella Will Graham Widow of  the late John Graham of leeds.

and  her Daughter
Mary  (very hard for me to read)  Jamison MACKi**SONn wife of Gharles Macki*son of Manchester England

Upon searching in England  I  found  that Isabella Preshaw GRAHAM  married Fredrick Jackson BONWELL in Yorkshire in 1877.  In  1881 the family  records a visitor with  them a one Isabella Graham Widow .

Children  to John Graham and Isabella Will Preshaw

Isabella Preshaw Graham born 1854 in Victoria Australia
Jane C Graham born 1857 Leeds Yorkshire
Harry Ogilivy Graham 1859 Ireland
Johwn W Graham born 1869  Middlsex London

I  have been  searching away and found  that  the  name is MAKINSON (  the clue was in  the NZ Births supplied by Jean ;D)

I found  the couple in England  he a solicitor as indicated in  Isabella Preshaw's will.  They appear not to have had children and in 1901 Mary E J Makinson  is a widow  living on own means in a boarding house in Lancashire.

Couldn't find a marriage in  England but found it in Victoria

PRESHAN   Mary Emmanuella Jamieson married in 1864 reg no 1196 to
Charles MAKINSON

Hi,
I've just lucked on this thread by googling. I think I may have some information about Preshaws in New Zealand that is of interest. I am descended from David Ogilvy Preshaw's second wife, Jane. I have recently found information about the death if his first wife, and their last child, also about his brother George who was in NZ for a while. I have photographs of David, plus one of his son Charles Makinson, they are buried next to each other. If this is of any help let me know.

cheers
