Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Culnaman has several sub-denominations in it; ie smaller areas named, but not accorded townland status by officialdom. Used by locals. Drumeen is one; the Carragh is another (divided into upper and lower Carragh, at that) and possibly also "the Wood"

According to the Topographical Index - "Culnaman is a Townland in County Londonderry, in the District Council area of Coleraine, in the Ward of Agivey, in the District Electoral Division of Bovagh".

It is the smaller areas such as Drumeen, The Carragh, etc. that were "not accorded townland status by officialdom", Brown1777. No one is disputing that Culnaman (Coolnaman, etc.) is a townland.
