Hi

There are no Birkenhead burials online, where did the information regarding Robert Halsall dying in Birkenhead in 1874 come from? The Genereal Register ibdex doesn't seem to have a Robert Halsall recorded as dying in 1874 at all anywhere in England & Wales

Hi Luke

According to CheshireBMD the death was registered in the Birkenhead sub district (Registration districts are usually divided into sub districts) which means he could have been buried in Flaybrick Hill Cemetery.  Can I suggest you start a fresh topic on the Cheshire Board as there are some very helpful people who may be able to do a look up for you (the burials are on film locally). Include name, address and date of death, also if you have an idea, religion. (there are seperate films for C of E, RC and non-conformist

Luke,

I found that grave reference the other day when I did a Google search for "uriah halsall". It was that easy!

Have you seen the reference to him on the Cheshire tithe maps database ? http://maps.cheshire.gov.uk/tithemaps/Search.aspx?source=Surnames&letter=H&word=Halsall&random=274

This probally sounds a bit stupid but did you mean Holy Cross Church in WoodChurch, Birkenhead? I cant find a cemetery called WoodChurch in liverpool or birkenhead.

This info on the tithe maps was again quite amazing ShaunJ, theres no way id have stumbled across that without your help. Thankyou, once again!
