Wow.  Thank you so much.  A lot of your information is filling in spaces and confirming what was "said" about the family.  Thank you Nany Jan, Rambler & Dee.

I asked this morning about family and apparently George Townsend Paley was a Lt. Cnl in the UK.

I have that Walter T. Paley b. 1854 had at least one sibling Fredrik Gartside Paley b 1853.

Is ther any way I could find any death of this family in  the UK.

Regards

Jam

Jam, here we go again.  Have finally found Frederick G & Annie E on 1891 Census.  Family were listed as Caley!

I can see them both on the 1911 Census - but have no credits left but can tell you this much:

Frederick G Paley / 58 / Upton-on-Severn, Worcestershire
Annie E / 56 /                    ''               ''                   ''

http://www.1911census.co.uk

With reference to their deaths, I cannot see anything listed on Ancestry at the moment, so I have to assume that they lived a long life.  This means going through the GRO indexes month by month, year by year.  If you have any idea when they might have died, I will check for you.

1891 Census
RG12 / 1000 / 89 / 6
Tanners Farm, Church Road, East Swallowfield,
Wokingham, Berkshire

Frederick G Paley / head / 38 / Land Agent
Annie E / wife / 36
Frederick J / son / 13 / Scholar
Rachel M / dau / 11 / Scholar
Harold / son / 9 / Scholar
Charles / son / 7 / Scholar
Florence / dau / 4
Norah / dau / 2
Fanny Johnson / 33 / Governess
Flora E Goodger / 16 / General Servant
Louisa Stacey / 14 / Nurse

Jam, let me know what details you need next.

I'm looking for Frederick & Annie's 3 sons: Frederick J, Harold and Charles on the 1901 Census - not having much luck at the moment.  Will keep searching.

This is so much appreciated Dee.  That is a lot of work.

I can fill in lots especially the "Caley" mis-spelling.

My husband is in hospital some 100kms away and we live in the country with animals.  A bit of to and fro at the moment so will be back in a day or two.

Jam.  Again big thank you.

Had to write my first ever contribution to thank every one for their information on the Paley family. I knew some already but it is great to be able to fill in some gaps.
Frederick Gartside Paley was my 2x great grandfather.
I am fairly sure the photo is of him on the right as his son Harold (my great grandfather) is  the man on the left.
