Burials in Kilmadock parish.
« on: Tuesday 21 April 09 21:42 BST (UK) »
As a lot of people on this forum live abroad, i thought i could be of some assistance in tracking down headstones in Kilmadock Parish (Doune,Deanston area) and get some pictures to send .
There are 3 main graveyards in the Parish, Old Kilmadock,New Kilmadock and 1 at the rear of the Old church of Scotland in Doune itself.
If this can be of help to anyone contact me on this post or by personnel
message.

Hi Mary.
Will get back to you as soon as i can with any pic's etc.
I don't know if you know that the church no longer stands (apart from a couple of walls) but the house is still there.

Hello Kenny,

If you ever come across any Kennedys in your travels, any pictures or details would be great.

Basically any Kennedy who appeared at Kilmadock/Doune between 1841 and 1901 was descended from (or married to a descendant of) my 5 x great grandfather John Kennedy.

Regards,
Nel

Hi Mary.
I will try and get you a photo of the house tomorrow (hopefully).
Have found out that they are buried at Old Kilmadock, but unfortunatly there is no visible Headstone.

Sorry Kenny - Not a good start to the day..

Colin Ferguson died 1891 and his wife Elizabeth Galbraith died 1909.
John Stewart died 1876 and his wife Ann Dewar.
Jane McGregor 1870 was married to John Ferguson she died 1870 Kincardine.

May get it right eventually..and of course, Maggie Stewart/Connelly/King.

And any Stewarts..
