i downloaded all the glendinning births mouswal d this morning funny how his mother is johnstone and mary dicksons granny is sussanah johnstone  its easy seen its pouring in dumfries this morning i was only going to be doing this for half an hour before work ill get the bus  thanks

Jean Glendinning c 1775 that married James Smith 24/8/1797 Torthwald

Good evening, Audrey:

I'm seeking information about the ancestors of my 9th great grandparents, David Dixson and Jeane Dixson, married in Langolm on 11 November 1669. Their son, John, was christened at Langholm 25 Sep. 1670. Their son James was christened at Langholm 21 Mar. 1672. Their son Matthew was christened at Langholm 9 Aug. 1674. David Dixson was witness to the birth of Janet Johnston on 4 May 1686.  Later generations married Littles, Irvings, Beatties, etc., and were farmers of Tomshielburn and Barnglies.

Records of 2 other Dixsons in Langholm around the time, but I don't know if they're related: Adam Dixson, m. Janet Dods 6 Dec 1670, Langholm, and George Dixson, father of Mary Dixson, c. 24 Jun 1674, Langholm.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!
