family links KITCHING/HOGGARTH

Hi,
I am researching the HOGGARTH family in Westmorland.
My g grandfather Lancelot Hogarth was born in 1826 and his son, my grandfather, also Lancelot hoggarth was born in 1857.  They both died in December 1903 within 3 days of each other, from unconnected illnesses.
The 1881 census shows Lancelot (b 1826) living at Milton Moor, Preston  Richard, Westmorland, with his family,and also shows a Jane KITCHING, niece, born 1849 Grayrigg, Westmorland.  I am unable to connect Jane to the Hoggarth family. Could anybody please help me by checking the 1851 or 1861 census for Jane Kitching and tell me her parents and family.  Any help would be most appreciated.

I found two Jane Kitchings on the 1861 census:
One with parents John and Hannah, born 1848 Kendal, living Dillicar
One with parents John and Betty, born 1848, Kendal, living Beetham

I'll see what family members are with these Janes.

Ok, just looked at the 1851 and it's the farmer's daughter who was born in Grayrigg.

Hi Pat.....Think the link is the name Taylor....

Jane Kitching was with Lancelot & family in 1881 ..by following her   she was with th another Aunt   in 1891....
Jane Lancaster (widow) 69 yrs old born Winfell.
The family found by Ruskie in 1851 also has a woman born Winfell...the wife Elizabeth (nee Taylor)Kitching..
Lancelot Hoggarth married a Margaret Taylor in Kendal in 1852..

Good work LL! I just couldn't get my brain to work last night (it was late)  .

One thing though .... Jane Kitching isn't with Lancelot in 1861 - she is in Beetham with her family. (see post 3)

Hi Ruskie...! Spot on there, must have been having what my kids call a " Senior moment "... have repaired my original message. Thanks.
This is my husbands family area and i believe there was a Kitching/Kitchen who married into his line but after the early 1900's. Hence my interest..
