Andrews Family, Ryhall,Rutland.
« on: Thursday 07 May 09 09:39 BST (UK) »
Researching my wife's Andrews branch from Ryhall, Rutland. Her G Grandfather was John Robert Andrews, c.7 Mar 1869,Ryhall, Rutland. His father was apparently Edward and mother Mary. Some of John Robert's siblings were Sarah who married William McHew,Laura Louisa c. 29 Apr 1866 and Mary Elizabeth, c.7 Dec 1856, all at Ryhall. We believe there were more children in the family, but haven't located them yet. Hoping there is someone out their with an interest in this family. All the best from Lyn and Trevor, Australia.

You probably have this but Laura Louisa goes on to marry a George Dawson (Sep 1902) and have a daughter Alice Louisa Dawson (Sep 1906), who sadly dies in Mar quarter 1912.

G'Day Tati,
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your response was so quick. Your information helps fill in a couple more gaps, of which there is plenty in the Andrews line. Do you have an interest in this family? John Robert Andrews married Clara Alice Hill (b. 1867,Lincolnshire) and one of their daughters,Marjorie Lois Andrews married Leonard Peter Erbacher, an Australian soldier, in 1919, an came to Queensland, Australia as a war bride. She was my wife's Grandmother.
                Thanks again, very much appreciated.
All the best, Lyn and Trevor.

Hello I just stumbled upon this thread after searching for John Robert Andrews of Ryhall (my great grandfather). I see Marjorie was your wife's grandmother! I have come into possession of a hand written family tree and Marjorie's brother Walter Edward is my grandfather! He married my grandmother Ruby Gladys Wagner. I am happy to share any info on this family tree that you may not have.
