1861 census look up please.
« on: Sunday 10 May 09 11:05 BST (UK) »
Charles Vaughan Jones married Caroline Banks in 1850.
He married Mary Ann Williams in 1867.

Charles and Caroline had a son born in 1858.

I think Caroline died in 1858 but I need the 1861 census to prove or disprove this as there were deaths for Caroline Jones also in 1862 and 1863.

Charles was born in Worcester  1826

Thank you,
Janae   Australia

Hi Janae

Me again

The 1861 Census shows that Charles is still married to Caroline.  Her age is given as 34.

Cheers
Karenlee

ADDED... there was a Nurse living with them at the time too, wonder if it was for the young son or for Caroline?

If that is the same Caroline, she could have died in child birth.

Births Mar 1863.
JONES Caroline Fanny, Droitwich. 6c. 377.

Deaths Mar 1863.
JONES Caroline Fanny, Droitwich. 6c. 248.

Wow!

Thank you,  down -under,  Pam and jim 1212.

I initially thought that Caroline might have died with the birth of Charles William until the census disproved that theory.

It certainly seems probable that Caroline Fanny was Caroline's child.

Cheers,
Janae.
