To continue what Sammy started, I had a quick look around and wondered if you Pat knew about the website that has recently put on line Co Down Tithe Applotment Books, which for Newtownards are disappointing as only the townlands of Ballyskeaugh and little Ballyskeaugh are listed. The originals are in PRONI Belfast. the TAB website is

So I next looked up Ros Davies townland map and found those townlands are separated by Ballynichol so its likely there were two John McMillens living in Comber, rather than one.
Whilst on Ros Davies website in her surname list she has an entry confirming your Andrew’s father was a John. She has many other McMillan/McMillen entries. her website is
