Lets hope "Stoney" posts as I hope to visit Irthington spring 2016 weather permitting and gather some more Hetherington headstones.

Thank you Sarah - haven't been able to access  the email address allocated for notifications, so sorry for not responding. (Can I substitute a different address?)

Meanwhile :
Hethers - hope you have a good & fruitful visit in 2016!  Sadly, Hetheringtons seem to be 'ten a penny' in that neck of the woods so no idea whos us actuallyvrelated to my family line. When I turn my laptop on later (on phone & not at home at the moment) I'll list my interests in Irthington!

Thanks, Sarah, for nudging me. I'll see if I can change my email address to save missing anything else!

Right! Back home and fired up the laptop - here's what I have in connection with Irthington and it's not much I'm afraid!

The BULMAN Lineage

Thomas Bulman (b.c.1718 Irthington) - Ann Hetherington (b.c.1722 Irthington)
m.01/06/1743 Irthington:-

Thomas Bulman (Ch.17/04/1747, Irthington) -  Jane Little (dates ????)
m. 06/09/1778, Irthington :-

Elizabeth Atkinson (Ch.08/02/1784, Hayton) -  Thomas Bulman (Ch. 24/06/1781, Irthington)
m.12/11/1803, Ainstable :-

Archibald Meyers ( m b.c. 1815, Scotland) -  Margaret Bulman (Ch. 07/12/1817, Kirklinton, d.c1892, buried Carlisle cemetery)
m.29/10/1835, Wetheral :-

Edward Meyers (Ch.13/06/1839 Carlisle d.16/04/1910, Carlisle, ) - Mary Jane Routledge (b.c.1855, Gosport, d.05/04/1923, Carlisle)
m.1881, Carlisle :-

Joseph Edward Beattie (b.31/08/1890, Langholm, d.11/12/1936, Carlisle) - Kate Agatha Meyers (b.27/08/1893, Carlisle, d.23/05/1970, Rugby)
m.22/11/1915, Carlisle

(JEB & KAM are my maternal Grandparents.)

Hope that makes sense?

Hi Stoney,

Ann could be the daughter of my 6th GGfather William Hetherington - married Sarah Scot 1719.
William's parents were John Hetherington and Dorothy Bulman of the Green, Irthington in 1685.

Still looking for Thomas Bulman 1719.
May need to dig out my images of the Irthington BT's.

A friend in the states has the same "lineage", and probably more Bulman data than me, so I'll speak to her if you like,
Type soon, Paul.  :)

I'm interested in your Bulman side and the Hetherington side from you Stoney, I've been trying to link the 2 Bulman families that were living in Irthington.
