passenger to India 1886
« on: Tuesday 19 May 09 17:32 BST (UK) »
I have recently been passed a 'red letter days' book which belonged to my grt grandmother,  along with 5 generations of our families birth and death days there are some more personal entries.  One that intrigued me is an entry Oct 20th   'started to India from Portsmouth 1886 Jemima'    now we didn't know Elizabeth ever went abroad although her younger sister Kate who was a ladies maid did we thought it was later.  Is there any way of checking a passenger list to see who was on it and who she might have been with?  the surname was Catchpole.  A further entry in the book Nov 18th 'arrived in Bombay 1886'

This is a new area for me
