Nippers in Sherston

George Nippers, my ggggfather is shown aged 60 and living in Cardiff in the 1881 Census with his son Joseph (no wife shown).
He was born in Sherston presumably in 1821. Can anybody help me to find a birth record or marriage for him ?.

Can't help with birth or marriage but do you have him on 1871 with other children. This puts his marriage at about 1850/1851.

He is described as Mar on this census but there is no wife

Thanks Tricia Q (I married a Tricia by the way-just celebrated our ruby wedding).
I guess that by 1881 the other children had left home or possibly gone to live with their mother. Can't find any trace of her.

Mary Anne is a recurring name in my family tree but I do not think the lady you mention is in my direct line. I'll note info just in case.
