Hi Paul,

Yes you presumed right, it is me :D

I'm now the one presuming that we are cousins, if so how on earth did you find me on here?

Family are fine thanks,  how are you all doing?

Research is going well.

Christine

I searched on the Redshaw name and saw your original question from about a year ago on this site.

I guessed it could only be you...

Hi,

Just noticed your post.  I am descended from Johanna Redshaw, the daughter of Thomas and Mary ?? Redshaw.  Johanna was born/bapt about 1779 in Ellerburn and lived and died in Thorne after marrying James Cundith. Thomas, I think, died in Thornton le Dale, in 1833 aged 82.  Associated names are Cundith/Cundill, Law.  Have we a connection? Regards, Gazania

Gazania,

Thank you for responding to my post.  Unfortunately I do not know whether there is a connection between our two Redshaw lines.   I have managed to trace my line back to my great, great, great grandfather Jonathan Redshaw who was born in about 1765 but I do not know where he was born or his parents names.

Jonathan lived from at least 1799 until his death in 1823 in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Best Wishes
CJL
