Hi Barbara,

I'm a direct descendent of Martin through the Male line:

Martin Carpenter b.1805 -> William Martin Carpenter b.1839 -> William Martin Carpenter b.1877 -> Clifford Ernest Carpenter b.1902 -> Clifford Sandford Carpenter b.1925 -> Nicholas Dene Carpenter b.1962 -> Peter Oliver Carpenter b.1980 (me)

I'd be really interested to share findings from that far back as I've hit a bit of a brick wall! I'm very new to this and haven't been doing it for very long!

Funnily enough I was living in Christchurch NZ back in 2007 for a short period of time! Odd to know that there were family relatively closeby!

Thanks,

Pete

Hi Pete,

Wow that seems an eternity since I posted that email.
I have gained some information since that time.  Yes, there certainly  is a connection via Martin Carpenter.

Could you email me directly barbmclatxtra.co.nz please would love to chat privately.

Regards
Barbara
