I knew you were a nice person (nee Anderson) I was born in Scotland and was called after both grandfathers. That's what you get from being the last child. Mum & dad and family moved to Australia in 1954.

Here is an interesting marriage:
Joseph, son of William Boyce married Sarah Anne Leathem on 28/4/1850 (Ros Davies site)  .  These names are all in Ballydugan,Tullylish and the dates might be relevant.
They had two children listed after Civil registration started in 1864 but there would surely have been earlier children.  It would be worth finding out the church they were married in in case you could search the church records.

Very amateur.

Is there any census available in Ireland like is in Egland & Scotland that may show the family together. No that wouldn't help because I don't know Joseph's parents names (talking to myself)
I have included Joseph's death cert. if it is any help. Hope it comes through OK

PS Just received you latest post. On Joseph's death cert. it mentions married in NZ but can not find a marriage for them in NZ. Maybe they didn't get married?

More than likely one of these couples are Joseph Samuel BOYCE's parents. Would there be any shipping records in Ireland showing either the BOYCE family going out to NZ sometime about 1855 or onwards to say about 1870-75 as I would have thought that if it got nearer Joseph's mar. date to fannie in 1877 he would have gone to NZ on his own. I can't find any shipping records in NZ or Australia. I know they cameor my wife wouldn't be here.

www.ancestry.co.uk has records of unassisted passages to New South Wales in the years 1822 onwards.    They show a couple of Joseph Boyces  and a couple of F. Gregsons, but you need Pay as you Go subscription to view them.  That doesn't cost much for a number of 'views'.  RosemaryJoan
