World War I
« on: Tuesday 09 June 09 09:26 BST (UK) »
Just wondering if anyone knows of any websites that list the names of people lost in the first world war in Germany. I can only find sites that list how many people were lost not actual names.

Thanks!! :)

Hi

I'm not quite clear exactly what you want.  Perhaps a first start would be with the German War Graves Commission who have some sort of database:

http://www.volksbund.de/
Skewis (Wales and Scotland), Ayers (Maidenhead, Berkshire), Hildreth (Berkshire)
