Hi, I only seen your question today, (21/12/11) I have knowledge on your grandparents and where they came from, hope its not too late for your research, I only started some research myself very recently and this is how I came across your enquiry.

Hi,
If you check out the 1911 census for ireland and look at No.1 Baronstown Demesne, Co. Westmeath this should help you.

Hi I am related to Abigail Tuite Heduvan from Westmeath.  According to family stories she had 13 children, but gave her childless sister the 2 youngest.  I am looking for the name of Abigail's sister as well as the names of Abigail's parents.  From what I hear the sisters were orphaned when they were young, but had come from a good family.
I am also looking for information on Michael Heduvan.  I am not sure if he was a 7th son of a 7th son or if it was his father that was, but if you have any info on his siblings or parents I would love some insight.  Thanks!

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but I found that the National Library of Ireland now has parish registers available online, at http://www.nli.ie/en/parish-register.aspx. I browsed the records for Ballinacargy (diocese Sonna), and found several baptismal records for my family. There's no index, and the handwritten records are of sporadic legibility, but it's a great leap forward, still.
