I also got Roberts and Gordon's thanks to both you and "Sparrett" so many thanks again to all who have replied....my cousin in Caithness and I have tried for ages to find any information on this side of the family....obviously we were looking in the wrong place.

Kind regards

I am assuming you have found your way into his file to read on the website  I gave you above
The photo is on page 2
Are you using the little arrows at the top to turn the pages?

It is on a pink backdrop and you need to scroll down a bit.
It is only little but you can probably "work on that" ;D

I would like to say thankyou for all who replied to my request, I have sent away for the war records for Gordon Renton Hendry and Robert Melville Renton Hendry but will have to wait for about 3 months for them to get posted to me.

Many thanks again,
Kind regards

Hi

I think i'm somehow related to you Isabel. My Grandpa was John Frederick Errey & my Grandma was Jessie Hendry & I think the other people you are talking about are her siblings. I know my Grandma traveled out to Australia from Edinburgh, Scotland. Not sure of the date of migration but I know she traveled with some of her siblings & others were born out here. Think she may have been around 10 when she migrated & then worked as a seam stress later on before she married. She was born in 20/2/1902 & died in 1995. She had 4 daughters, on of which obviously was my Mum, Marilyn & she lived for the most part in the Largs/Peterhead district in Adelaide, South Australia. I remember my mum talking about "Uncle Bob" who is Robert her brother & he lived up until around 1996 I think.

Would love to hear from you & any other information about the Hendry family.

 :) Hello Isabel
I have just found your messages re Hendry / Miller families and needed to make contact as my partner is the son of Douglas Hendry (mentioned in your email dated 25 June 2009). He has not done vey much research on his family to date, but he knows of various family members of James and Grace.

Hello,

I have never posted on here , before so please be patient.

I believe Thomas James Renton Hendry was my grandfather.

Everything I have read seems to be matching with what little I know about our family history.

I was researching and came across this post.

I truly believe we are talking about the same person.

Kind regards
Amy

Hello Amy,
Can I ask if you live in Adelaide? If yes, then I think we have met....ask your mother. If you are the Amy I am thinking about I have given a lot of information to your mother before. But, I am happy to help you.
Send me your email address and I will get in touch with you.

Kind regards,
Isabel
