Woburn Gravestones
« on: Friday 26 June 09 02:49 BST (UK) »
Hi I was wondering if anyone lived in/near Woburn who could take a photograph of two graves for me?

One is a plaque and / or grave for Robert Salmon who died in 1821

The other is the family grave of the Osborn Family, which includes Lucy Matilda (died 1830), her daughters Elizabeth Ann and Catherine Emma and her husband John (died 1857).

Thank you

Marianne in Oz

Hellow Marianne,i have had a look around the cemetry at St.Mary's church,i have been unable to find the graves listed on your post, but there is some good news, the plaque for Robert Salmon is on the wall inside the church.I shall post the photograph of the plaque for you in the near future.I will also contact the vicar to see if there is a plan of where the burials are,i have been told there is a plan to record the inscriptions on the head stone's but from what i have seen there is quite a few of the older stone's that are time and weather eroded,i did take some pictures of both the church and the cemetry i can also include these if you would like them.

Hi Diarmuid. I am interested in this same information - Osborn family and Robert Salmon family. If you have any photos or information, could you please let me see them too? Thanks.

Hi Marianne - I wanted to send you a family tree, but am new to this rootschat and not sure of how it all works. Maybe I'll get it sorted ... John Osborn (1791) was my 3xgreat grandfather. His will is on the internet along with other documents. Lucy Matilda Salmon was my 3xgreat grandmother. Robert Salmon is her father. There is a lot about him on the internet. William Salmon is his father. That's what I have at the moment.

Hello Bujaboy.

I do not think that I kept any of the photographs so if you give me a few days I should be able to pop over to Woburn in the coming week and take some more pictures and send them to you.
