A marriage lookup please for Eliza Tweddall married Arthur Thomas Houfe Dec Q 1900 Thirsk. Any possibility of their parents on marriage details please.
Eliza Tweddall was born possibly Auckland, Durham Sep Q 1875. Arthur Thomas Houfe was born Huntington, York c 1881.
They both appear on the 1901 at Thirsk and 1911 at Auckland, Durham.
There is two different spellings of Twedd[/b]a[b]ll and Twedd[/b]e[b]ll, both are used for Eliza, the first her surname and the latter for mothers surname for childrens birth entries.

Thanks for the info, most welcome, I have been looking for the census for both, so many thanks.
Alice is my Great Grandmother, known as Alice Matilda Hall (nee Houfe). She lived her life out at Holme on Spalding Moor, E. Yorks with husband George Robert. Her younger brother Robert Gamble Houfe died at Royal Albert Asylum, Lancashire aged 15 1901.

Hi
Just thought I would get in touch. The Thomas Houfe mentioned below is my Great Grandma's eldest brother (my great grandma was Annie Elizabeth Houfe). I've had a look at your other post but unfortunately don't have any of that information (unfortunately my Grandad, who moved up to County Durham from Riccall and used to visit relations in Auckland apparently, didn't tell my Dad any information like that). I do have quite a bit on the Houfes though going back so if there is any help I can give you

I would love to exchange info and glean an insight into your side of the Houfe, although I can say that your "unknown lot" is not that dissimilar to my Houfe, will explain later.
