GRANT family originating in IRELAND
« on: Wednesday 01 July 09 10:51 BST (UK) »
I have done a lot of research on linking the various GRANTs in Ireland

My Irish GRANTs originated in Waterford/Kilkenny and some moved to Tipperary after Cromwell.

This family has nothing to do with Scottish Grants

Anyone else on this trail?
Grant in Tipperary
Piper in Tipperary
Blong in Leix
Watson in Offaly
Pugh in North Wales
Evans in North Wales
Proctor in Edinburgh
Steedman in Stirling

Hello!  I, too, am researching the Grants of Iverk.  My hubby's g-grandfather (William Francis Grant, b. 7 May 1836) is documented as having emigrated to America in 1859 from Rathpatrick, Kilkenny... and Dead end!  I would love to connect with you to learn what you have discovered!
