Thank you, J.J. I didn't know there were photos available. I'm far from Dublin, but the photo brings me close to my great-grandparents' grave. James was my grandmother's favourite brother. With his date of death, I know where to look in family correspondance for mention. I may also be able to find some reference to Annie Simpson's death in family letters. If so, I'll post the date here.

I found Albert Simpson's death certificate at http://search-collections.royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/Genealogy/DisplayGenealogyImage?k=91a762f9-6920-4947-86fe-aea365a77451 . He had lived in Kaleden, in the Okanagan Valley, just 18 months before his death in 1950, just 2 weeks shy of his 61st birthday. Perhaps the confusion about where he died arose because he was buried in Winnipeg. I assume that that was where his attachments remained.

I took a trip out to Deansgrange Cemetery yesterday to confirm the year Annie Simpson died and as

the attached photo will show it was 1965.

Michael Campion.

Thank you so much for this photo, Campiom. I have gone through another box of memorabilia and I came across a telegram, sent to my aunt, Aileen Mann, in Vancouver on Oct. 31, 1965, announcing the death of Annie Simpson, Aileen's mother's sister, on the morning of Sunday, October 31, 1965. The telegram was sent by a "OROURKE" from Dublin. So now there are two sources for 1965.

Here are some Simpson photos: James Simpson and Eliza Odgers Simpson, taken in Kingstown, Co. Dublin, Ireland, probably around 1920. The wedding photo is of William Mann and Victoria Simpson (daughter of James and Eliza), taken in Vancouver, July 1, 1914.
