Hi Everyone
Is there anyone here who is a member of the above Society that could get me the details and the contacts of the member who has listed the surname FOULDS on that site.
Finding it difficult these days to pay for membership of every site that lists my names unless I can confirm they have something of my family on site.

Hi Maggie, I have some information about a family of FOULDS who where in India at the end of the 1890's if that is the information you are after.

I use the FBIS site fairly often and there is no charge. However as with many lists of people on that type of site it is the wealthier people who tend to be published.For example the chance of a Private Soldier, British Army, having a birth, marriage or death on these sites is fairly slim.

I would like any information on the FOULDS name in India please

Hi Maggi, so for the time in replying.

So the Foulds that I have are belonging to a 'William Henry Foulds' (16/04/1860 - 27/04/1901) who was serving as a British Soldier in India.
He was Colour/Staff Sergeant serving with the Royal Field Artillery.
William died whilst serving in the Military, although I am unsure wether it was illness, or injuries sustained.
3 out of his 4 Children were born in India, with the other being born in Kent.
He married a lady called Ellen Whittingham in about 1887.

As far as I can tell all family members returned back to the UK.

No problems I am chasing a John Herbert Foulds who died in Indian in 1939. I don't have a William Henry in the family yet.
My lot were mainly in Lancashire and Yorkshire area
