I am not in a position to comment on your theory regarding Catherine.

we have searched all the island for a catherine cain who would be born 1899 to 1901 and can only find about two  one married later and the other no sign of her any where no marriage , no death, her father died 1902 , her mother 1929

I  am at a loss to understand  this?

Why were you searching the island  when you knew where and when etc Catherine was born?

RIVER has been given quite a lot of help previously, including passenger information and I also find it strange that the information known was not posted with the initial request.

Is there any actual proof that the Catherine CAIN who married in Australia is the mother of her father :-\ :-\ :-\

This has been previously mentioned by Cando earlier in this thread and by others previously but I find something that does not appear to have been mentioned previously which could be interesting to note

from the passenger list of the RUNIC which departed from Liverpool 28 July 1923

CAIN Miss C ticketed for Melbourne - She was listed as aged 22 - a Clerk. address in UK 20 Latham Street Kirkdale Liverpool. intended permanent residence in Australia. What I find most interesting is Country of last permanent residence is not England but rather "British Possessions" Could this mean Isle of Man - It is a British Possession. If she had been living in Lancashire her country of last permanent residence would have been England.  Interesting I feel ;)

Cheers Kris  :)

Hi.
We noticed thru google that you were looking for De La COEUR Family in Australia. My fathers name is John DeLacoeur and his brothers names were Francis, Charles, Terrence and a sister Kathleen. The persons you were wondering who researched the war records history was myself and my brother. I am trying to attach 2 x photo's of my father John DeLacoeur. (The child in one of them is my self)
Will keep trying :)

Hi ndlc :)
Be great to get info on the family - don't know all that much.
There is me (Terrence John and my brother Francis Charles)

I am currently in Cairns Queensland and my brother (Chaz) is back in our hometown still, being Katherine Northern Territory.

Terry.
