Right got to the bottom of that one  ;D

Ruth Unicum baptised at Ewhurst on 25 November 1801 at Ewhurst to Thomas and Mary Unicum

There are lots of them all under the names Unicum, Unicomb and various other spellings.

Hi,

I wonder if this is David and Ruth,

Deaths

David SAUNTER    Dec Q 1844    East Ashford    5  1

Ruth SANTUR    Mar Q 1843     East Ashford    5  1

I did check the images, and they do have the same reference number even though over a year apart.

David jnr and Charles in 1851 are transcribed as 'son of inmate', but the image just shows has them as   "   under 'Inmate'.

Regards
Daisy

The IGI lists a Lydia Unicorne in Ewhurst but no sign of Ruth anywhere.

I have Samuel UNICOME b 24 Aug 1755 Ewhurst m 15 Jan 1759 Lydia DARBY b 7 Jul 1734 Ewhurst. Their daughter Hannah b 10 Aug 1766 m 23 Oct 1785 James BRYANT of Ninfield.

Lydia was the daughter of William DARBY and Lydia BAKER.

These folks connect to CROUCH, my main line of interest.
