I can't see a burial for the first Mary Bates (nee Bradley) in Stoke before William remarried in 1832 but have found one for this Christopher  23rd November 1834 age 10 weeks. of Stoke

William and Mary Bates are still alive and kicking in 1871.
They are transcribed as Bater and living at Gravel Walk, Rochester.

I couldn't find them on 1881 census , I will look for their deaths when I have a moment.

Thank you Rosie as they were living in Gravesend in 1871 may be she was living with a daughter/son, or which to be burial where she came from, on the other hand there is a Milton that is part part of Gravesend.
