Hi can any one help i am trying to trace decendants of james paterson and family, living in 2 glen avenue, paisley renfrewshire

james was born August 1900 and  a Andy was born 1905.

there parents were James paterson and mary wilson

Hi, I found the 1901 census with James & Mary and their son James 7 months at 2 Glen Avenue. I then looked at the 1911 Scotland census and found 7 entries for James Paterson with a child Andrew in them although none were in Renfrewshire. The 7 are;

1911 census:

James Paterson age 38 Inverkeithing,Fife
James Paterson age 31 Tillicoultry,Clackmannan
James Paterson age 30 Shettleston,Glasgow city
James Paterson age 40 Cambusnethan,Lanark
James Paterson age 40 St Giles,Edinburgh city
James Paterson age 40 Boleskine,Inverness
James Paterson age 32 Old or West Kilpatrick,Dunbarton

As Scotlandspeople is the place for the 1911 census and is a pay per view site,you would have to buy credits to view these to see which is your James 7 family and follow the descendants from there. There are 2 Andrews born in Renfrew in 1905, so the family must have moved after that. You can trac the family via records on Scotlandspeople. Hope this helps,Kim
