You actually only need 3 posts to use PM (personal message) system.

One of the great James Connolly's children was Norah Connolly O'Brien whose short book 'We Shall Rise Again' was published just after she died in 1981 aged 88.

The book includes family photographs.

"We shall rise again" were the last words spoken to Norah by her father before his execution.

Good luck,
J.T.A.

Hi,

You can check out Wikipedia for James Connolly. It gives some good information.
You know James parents were John and Mary Connelly from Monaghan. You also know he had two brothers Thomas and John.

On the 1911 census in Dublin it lists his wife, Lillie and his children.

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000119513/

You can check all the census records for Scotland on Scotspeople website.....it is pretty cheap in comparison to Irish websites,  you can find out where his parents and brothers/sisters were living and with him...

At least this is a start

Wilson: Kirkoswald, Scotland and Dublin
Breen: Hendrick Street, Brunswick Street,Dublin
Moore: Kildare and Dublin
lyons: Hendrick Street and Brunswick Street,Dublin
Donnelly: Marrowbone lane, Braithwaite street, Dublin
Byrne: Mercer Street, Dublin
Mills: Dublin, Wicklow
Higgins: Dublin
Gray: Aryshire, Scotland
Mills King, Wicklow and Dublin
Donegan, St Catherines Parish, Dublin
Murphy: Enniscorthy and Ballybanoge, Wexford
Browne, Crean, Kelly, Keavney: Sligo.

I am related to James Connolly.

If anyone else is doing or interested in his family tree, maybe we can help one another.
