James & David Durward, New hampshire.COMPLETE
« on: Friday 31 July 09 21:24 BST (UK) »
Hi ,
I'm looking for a James Durward  born  1886 in  Kincardineshire,Scotland .
I have him in 1910 census ,where he is living in new Hampshire...it is AFTER 1910 that i cant find him ...his parents were Hugh & Jessie Durward.
Its crossed my mind though perhaps he died after 1910 but before 1920. :(

Another mystery is David Alexander Adams Durward  who was born in Perthshire,Scotland 1881. His parents were James & Betsy Durward they too went to New Hampshire.
I can find his parents & sister on census, but not David.
So he also either died in Scotland ,but then cant find death certificate, which looks like it would have been New Hampshire.
Or they forgot to take him with them  ;D

There are other Davids belonging to family ,but have found where they went to .

Thanks
Snowolf

I cannot find either James or David yet.

This is a link to the 1917-18 Claremont Directory, in case you haven't seen it:
http://distantcousin.com/directories/nh/claremont/1917/Pages.asp?Page=048
The James mentioned was the husband of Betsy (they were both in their 60's according to the 1920 census).  The people you are looking for are not mentioned.

I found a likely Canadian Attestation Paper for this James.  It says he was James Anderson Dorward b. 21 Mar. 1883 in Glasgow.
