Bowen in Hafordfordwest

Hi All

I am looking for a Mary Bowen born abt 1836 in either Hafordwest or Fishguard. She went on to marry a Simon Marshman in 1867.

Any info would be much appreciated.

There are a couple of possibles on the 1841 census.  Who were her parents?

Do you have a copy of her marriage cert showing her fathers name and occupation

1871 shows her birthplace as Glamorgan
1881 it is Haverfordwest
1891 just Pembrokeshire
1901 - Fishguard

She married and lived in Glamorgan so there is this Bowen family in Aberdare Glamorgan in 1861 but without her fathers name there is no way of knowing if it's the right one

Does it record in the census whether they were Welsh speakers?

Doesnt impact on the search but just curious being from Wales myself.

languages spoken not recorded until 1891. On 1891 & 1901, Mary is recorded as speaking both Welsh & English, the rest of the household English only.

If it's any help I have ancestors from Prendergast, Haverfordwest, sometimes they have spelt it Bowan as well as Bowen.  I have a Mary Bowen born 1852 in Haverfordwest with parents Thomas a tailor and Margaret.
