Hi,
The Shambles Barracks was on Lombard St in the city centre, and was vacated after Indepence in 1922. It was demolished to make way for St. Patrick's primary school in 1954. I went to school there :-) The Claddagh was a fishing village of thatched cottages across the river at the time.

Hi karhel,

You probably were mistaken by the name of the barracks.
Just to prevent repetition, you have this information on your other long thread here
