Hi Nicky,

The only bride on the page seems to be Elizabeth Dunkley

Does the name ring a bell? I see John Young born ca. 1797 born Risby was shown as a widower in 1851 - did he marry a Ms Dunkley between 1851 and 1861 by any chance, and the children were hers?

 :)

Can't find any of the family apart from John Young 1797 on the 1851 census so far. The fact I can't read their birth places doesn't help  :P

Hi

I agree with Tati, she could be a good possibility.

I looked for Pierre and the reference was 3b110. There were no Elizabeth Youngs with that ref number.

Ha ha!

In 1891, Florence Millard, daughter of Leon and Elizabeth, is staying as niece with:

John Dunkley born ca. 1842 Creaton Northamptonshire  :D

Still unable to find Sarah and the children on earlier censuses but I'm still working on the theory that the children listed as Young could have been Dunkleys

1861 showed:
- Edwin Young born Creaton ca. 1851  => there's a matching Edwin Dunkley in Warwickshire on later censuses (1871: RG10/3094 8 9)
- Edward Young born Creaton ca. 1856 => Edward Dunkley

Looks like Tati hit the right name.

From the Northants Marriage Indexes.

Northampton St. Giles
30 Jun 1856
Pierre Auguete Leon MILLARD otp, [Wellington Street], bachelor, full age, artist, father Augusta Leon Millard, gentleman to
Elizabeth   DUNKLEY otp, [Wellington Street], spinster, full age, father Samuel, carpenter

Therefore I suppose they could be the same person.  :-\

Hi, i have only just joined this site and im afraid im 8yrs too late! But pierre leon auguste millard b.1821 in rouen france and elizabeth dunkley from st giles northampton are actually my great great Grandparents! I have a copy of their marriage lines and would be happy to share any infirmation.
