Alexander Davidson: ?? Farmer, Perthshire
« on: Sunday 09 August 09 09:50 BST (UK) »
Hi there,
I'd really like some help trying to decipher a word.  It may be an occupation, or a place name or something else entirely! But I'm stuck. I've just managed through a bit of detective work to get my ancestors back another generation, and I'm looking to fill in as many details as I can.

I have a Death Certificate for 1864 David Hay Davidson.

On it, there are his parents names. His father is given as Alexander Davidson and he must have been born c1750, from the Abernethy, Aberargie area of Perthshire.  On another certificate, Alexander's occupation is listed as Farmer. Now there is a word that I can't decipher and I'm stuck and would really appreciate any help!

As far as I can make out is says:
Alexander Davidson
?? Farmer
Deceased

Can anyone make out the ??

Best wishes, Jimmijam

PS. Noticed the tif wasn't loading, have put it up as a jpg, apologies if you couldn't read it!
