PIKE DNA project makes frontpage news
« on: Wednesday 12 August 09 15:48 BST (UK) »
David Pike got a nice front page write up about the PIKE DNA project in his hometown newspaper St John's, Newfoundland, Canada.  http://www.thetelegram.com/index.cfm?sid=276705&sc=79

In particular David’s research is on PIKEs from Poole.

DNA is a powerful tool that has revolutionized genealogy by allowing a simple mail order, mouth swab to confirm existing paper trails or uncover hidden trees. We've reunited long-lost cousins, some now separated by continents. We've confirmed suspicions that some Pikes are related to others, and also that some Pikes families are not related to certain others.  And we're continuing to learn more about where we each come from.

Both David and I are volunteers. And despite our surnames, DNA shows we are not related.
