Hi Frances; Sorry for the delay in getting back to you,thanks so much for the info. We think that our Jessie was still of marrying age (by the tone of her letter) in 1902. We know that she lived in Edinburgh before moving back to Ancrum (apparently 1901). It looks as if she lived with or near sisters Margaret (Yellowlees?) and Isabella (Hastie?) in Edinburgh, perhaps when the 1901 census was taken. It is possible that she was born after 1881 census, we have tracked down 12 children of Walter & Elizabeth, I suppose there could be more! We just need to confirm William's birth date through Canadian Vital Stats.
