« on: Tuesday 18 August 09 20:53 BST (UK) »
Looking for help with my Great Great Grandfather Albert Scriven who was born in Bridport c 1845, father William (information from wedding cert shows he was an Ostler). Unable to find match in 51 or 61 census or birth registration. Any help appreciated.

May be a red herring, maybe not be the same people, may not help...
but

Birth Albert Kenway
Oc/Nov/Dec 1846
Bridport 8 39

Marriagee
Oc/Nov/Dec 1847
Bridport 8 68
William Scriven
one of the four brides in Hannah Kenway.

but of course he may not have married that one!

Cant find any clues on 1851 - there are a lot of Kenways in Bridport, but cant see Albert under that name or Scriven

(is it him in 1871 a  27 yr old Police Constable in Battersea married to Jane with mum in law Hopkins there? RG10 702 5 4)

Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

census information is Crown Copyright from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

Hi Great minds think alike, I had looked at that one too, but there are also 2 more earlier William Scriven marriages. Would help if I could find him on the 51 or 61 census but no luck to-date, maybe a long shot to try Albert with parents William and Hannah on the 51 census, I'll let you know if this turns up anything. Yes it is him in the 71 census.

Thanks
