any sign of an Andrew McRae(or variant) occupation Blacksmith and wife Agnes Kay? They married in Ochiltree in 1814.
Many thanks,

Hi Baird,

The only McRae I could find is an Alexander MacRae who was a Captain.

I will be getting two more books in the next few days so will have a look at them.

Thanks
Ann

 Hello Ann Marie,
Thanks. I am pretty sure Alexander Pollock is my ggrandfather's brother. I have him on the 1841 census, aged 8 yrs. He isnt on the 1851 census with the family but I found Alexander Pollock a servant/carter age 17    at Mabole. Is that near Kirkoswald? Are "Maidens" and "Cathcart" also near by. I don't know who the people in the other  grave are. Possibily a younger generation. No sign of William and Mary (parents) They must have moved on.
                Many thanks
                           Marg.
