Hi everyone -
I'm new here (though I've been lurking for a wee bit!) and I am hoping that someone might connect to one of the branches of my family tree.
My ggg grandfather was David WILLIAMS. He was born on 12 November 1812 in Llanelly. On 21 September 1838, he married Justina FRANCIS in the Llanelly Parish Church. Justina was born around 1820. She was the daughter of David FRANCIS and Justina ARNOLD.
David WILLIAMS and Justina FRANCIS had the following children:
Sarah WILLIAMS (b. 27 September 1839 in Llanelly, d. 1885 in Pittsburgh, PA) <--my gg grandmother
David WILLIAMS (b. Around 1841)
William WILLIAMS (b. 1844, d. 1852)
Thomas WILLIAMS (b. 1846)
John WILLIAMS (b. 1849)
Walter WILLIAMS (b. 1851)
John WILLIAMS (b. 1857)
Harriet WILLIAMS (b. 29 October 1859, d. 22 November 1933)
I know that Harriet WILLIAMS married Thomas LEWIS and they lived on Tunnel Road. I have a letter that Harriet wrote around 1905 to my gg aunt and have been able to piece together information about her family.
I'm hoping that someone out there might connect to my Williams' family. They seem to have all kept around the Wern area.
Then...I have another related mystery as well......
In David WILLIAMS' will, it mentions the following: "I give and bequeath to each of my above named sons and daughters, ground to build a house upon a plot of land owned by me at Tymawr near the town of Llanelly. The first of them who shall build must do so at one end of said plot of ground so that the houses when completed form a consecutive row of houses." My question is....Does anyone know where Tymawr is/was?
