BRITISH GUIANA: Peter Moore
« on: Wednesday 09 September 09 10:40 BST (UK) »
My ancestor Peter Moore went to British Guiana from St Eustatius in the early 19th century.  Family stories say that he disappeared on an exploring trip in the jungle, but I know no more than that.  A distant connection in England has his year of death as 1830, but he doesn't know where he got that from!  ( ::) ::) )

I've discovered that the records in Guyana are not in good shape, and one would have to go there to search, and even then it would be difficult.  (Doubly difficult when you live far away!)

And yes, I have posted on the Guyana Genealogical Society site, to no avail.  I'm posting here in the hope that someone might have some information, or a suggestion as to how I might find out something about this elusive man!
