Did you notice she was calling herself a deserted wife in 1881?

She's still at home with her parents in 1871, so we are looking for a marriage between 1871 and 1881. Westmidlands BMD (www.bmsgh.org) shows a marriage
Eliza Raybould - John H(enry) Harrison at Cradley St Peter in 1872 ... maybe?
(GRO reference Mar 1872 Stourbridge 6c 207)

That seems to have cracked it. I looked on FreeBMD for a likely death of John Henry Harrison, but couldn't find one of the right sort of age and date of death.

So perhaps widow is a euphemism for deserted wife?

I only searched on Handel Henry Harrison on 1881, but he doesn't seem to have been indexed on the free ancestry bit. Loads of Henry H! Didn't think of looking for Eliza.

I wondered about the marriage. Found it on FreeBMD, but couldn't be sure whether the groom was John Henry Harrison ot John Albutt, so kept quiet about it.
