** LONDON METROPOLITAN ARCHIVES/ANCESTRY REQUESTS UPDATED JULY 2010**
« on: Sunday 13 September 09 19:52 BST (UK) »
The LMA collection has been online now for quite a while and is occasionally updated.

IMPORTANT: please note

It is not permitted to ask for, or offer lookups from, any commercial or copyrighted databases, for example Ancestry, Findmypast, The Genealogist, the IGI and others, too many to list here.

With ref to Ancestry, their terms state

"You are licensed to use the Content only for personal or professional family history research, and may download Content only as search results relevant to that research. "

In addition...

"Online or other republication of Content is prohibited except as unique data elements that are part of a unique family history or genealogy."

Rootschat is not the place for any unique family history or genealogy and posting of their content here is prohibited.

The Copyright team works hard to ensure that any request or offer which contravenes the Terms & Conditions is dealt with by its removal. There is a "zero tolerance" deletion policy in place.

Clarification from the Copyright team can be found here

Rootschatters are also asked not to reply to these requests. Please use the 'Report to Moderator' button to inform Valda & I of any new requests.

The LMA collection is available in Ancestry Library Edition. Please check your local library service for availability.

There is an out of date list here. If you can add any new sources please do so.
