JOSEPH ELLIOTT  BORN 1855 TO 1860 SCOTLAND
EMILY ELLIOTT NEE GLANVILL  BORN 1860 ABT. IN MIDDLESEX

THEY WERE MARRIED IN MAY 1880 IN BETHNAL GREEN MIDDLESEX, BUT I CANT FIND THEM ANY WHERE.

Have you found them in later censuses to see where they settled or where children were born?

I HAVE LOOKED AT 1881 SCOTTISH CENSUS AND FOUND NOTHING.

ALL THE CHILDREN WERE BORN WEST HAM, THE 1ST BEING 1883 ABT SO IM TAKING IT THEY MARRIED AND STAYED HERE.

Have you got 1891? Years of birth are different to what you gave (which might explain why I could get 1881, I'll have anothr squint in a mo)

in light of age of children, it would seem Emily's age is more accurate on this one and she should have been 29 in 1891!

In 1881, 228 High Street appears to be occupied by a Haines family, a fruiterer.
So it looks as if the Elliots were elsewhere in their early marriage before the children arrived - but where!!!?
