Llangernyw parish registers:

July 6th 1860 John illigitimate son of David Wynne (Brynniau Pair Isa) and Jane Jones (Rhwng y Ddwy Ffordd)

also

June 6th 1859 Evan son of Lewis Jones and Catherine of Rhwng y Ddwy Ffordd

Looks like Jane Jones later married Robert Hughes in Llanddewi (6th Dec 1872) and she was a spinster.

In the 1861 census Elizabeth Wynne was a widow aged 66 was the head of the house at Brynniau Pair Isa.
In the 1851 census David (Johns father, born 1835) is living at Brynniau Pair Isa.

As Jo has already found, David (Johns father) was baptised in Pandy Tudur on 31/5/1835. According to the records he was born on the 24/5/1835.

I have links with the Wynnes of Brynniau Pair Isa, although not direct.  I have quite a lot of information on them and also am in contact with a direct decsendant.

Wow wow wow you are too fantastic!

That is brilliant - has been a family conundrum long before I started the family tree and is now solved. Genuis....

Would love to know more about your links and how your tree wound its way down. Will happily send you a copy of this illegitimate branch of the tree!

Thankyou again fascinated to learn of any information that you may have.

Cheers

My mother Jane Jones(Born January 14 1913)  is the daughter of Ann Jones(nee Wynne) and William Jones of Ty Canol Trofarth. Relatives of my grandmother lived(I believe its still owned by a Wynne) on the farm Coed Digain in LLangernyw. She would have been born around the same time you are asking about since my mother was the eighth child born. Hope this can help you
