John William Bartholomew was b 30/04/1878 in Brentford, Middlesex, England , he married Florence Belmore/Bulmore on Christmas day 1899, they had a son named William born 1900 died 1901.

1901 census has John W BARTHOLOMEW occupation seaman RN, living with wife Florence and 5 month son Wm, however his place of birth is noted as Portsmouth, Hampshire.  Possibly he has made an error as the 1881 and 1891 have him living in Hampshire but born Middlesex.

Is this his death in NSW - age isn't an exact match.
